Cybersexuality
The two areas of controversy surrounding video games are violence and sex - most notably, the portrayal of women, but in my opinion there isnt enough sex in video games. Video games are gratuitous in the extreme in their presentation of violence and action so why cant they be on the sex front? R18 movies can show almost whatever they want, but R18 games always come across mildly. We can most likely thank those complaining mothers who naively buy extremely violent murder simulators for their nagging 8 year old kids and walk in while their kid is engaging in paid sex with a drug addictecd prostitute. While games dabble in it, sex scenes are most often censored or removed completely, such as God of War where instead of watching the protagonist copulate with two Grecian wenches - all the player gets to see is a vase shake. Video games are about base male fantasy, and as bad as it is, we usually just want to be armed to the teeth with guns and attractive women.
